John Baldock



Is an artist who has held over 40 one-person exhibitions in Perth, Sydney, London and USA.


His work has been recognized by Mrs. Betty Churcher, ex-Director of the Australian National Gallery, Canberra, with a National Award for Watercolour.
He is included in Who’s Who of Australian Visual Artists published by Nova And Thorpe and in the Empire Who’s Who Inc., Registry 2003 and 2004.

John Baldock was invited to participate in the Biennale Internazionale Dell’ Arte Contemporanale, Florence, Italy, 2005.

Jena Bedson



Jena has been making pottery for over 20years. She began her career in Melbourne in the late 70’s and in 1980 moved to Queensland where she completed her Diploma of Ceramics.

 

Jena spent the next 22years living in Queensland and Northern NSW where she set up a studio producing a wide range of unique homewares.

 

In 2002 Jena settled in the beautiful Yarra Valley and once again producing her distinctive range of whimsical, brightly coloured ceramics. Each piece lovingly handcrafted and individually decorated.

Maureen Frawley



Maureen Frawley moved from Melbourne to the inspiration and warmth of Port Douglas in 1993. A local artist who loves a variety of self taught art works including sketching, oil paintings, delicate silk paintings and more recently photography producing stunning digital canvas prints.

Her artworks include a variety of local scenery and stunning frangipani designs.

Settling in Australia in 2002 Ulla joined The Blackheath Art Society and work predominantly with the Fauvian Group.

Oils are her preferred painting medium. Recently, completing a harlequinade series based on 18th century playing cards as a form of modern portraiture.

Judy Hawking-Burnett



Born in 1964, Judy grew up in Beechworth, a small town nestled in the hills of Victoria, Australia. It was here as a child that her love for the visual arts developed.

In 1983 Judy moved to Melbourne, where she studied teaching (Art and Music). She majored in painting and began to focus on abstraction, developing a real passion for abstract landscape and expressionism. During her time teaching from 1986-1993, Judy continued to paint and further explore these areas.

Figure drawing has always been an important part of my working practice. I have used these drawings as a departure for this series of paintings. These paintings are an exploration of painting itself.  

 

I confined the format to the square and in many of these paintings there is no right way up, but are intended as a self contained worlds of their own.  I divide my time between Paris and Australia.

Michael Rossiter is a self taught painter. Born in Bishop Auckland, UK, 1974, moving to Sydney’s northern beaches with his family at six months of age. Michael loved to draw from a young age, creating fantasy worlds from his vivid imagination, but has only been putting paint to canvas over the past 6 years. Art has been a passion all my life. As a young girl living on a goat farm in the outback, I would take charcoal from the wood stove to use for my first drawings. I was later introduced to the use of acrylics at school. I furthered my eduction in art by enrolling in Scott’s Correspondence College, where I studied oil painting.

I have held exhibitions in various cities around Australia including Newcastle, Brisbane, Winton, Melbourne, Sydney, Atherton and Cairns. I have also participated in overseas exhibitions in Canada, Papua New Guinea and study trips to Fiji, New Zealand and France.

Jennie Scott



Born Kingston-upon Thames UK emigrated to Australia 1964 lived in Cairns till 1976. Spent 10 months working and painting in the Krueger National Park, South Africa, where several of my pen and ink drawings where purchased and produced in print, selling throughout the Park. 

In the UK 1982 she attracted the attention of a large printing company called Dray co Print Consultants; they took 12 of my horse paintings, and turned them into cards and framed pictures. Two of these paintings featured on Coronation St, UK Television.

Michael Wein



Self-taught with 23 years experience specialising in Japanese style Raku domestic ware and pit-fired artistic pieces. 

His inspirations come from studying Japanese pottery and from personal visits and lectures by Ryogi Koie, Kenji Kato and Shiga Shigoe. He is a veteran of solo exhibitions in Sydney, Newcastle, Port Stephens, Yugawarra Japan, Tajimi Japan and Shigaraki Japan.

Michael's work is displayed in the Newcastle Regional Gallery, Shigaraki Institute Collection, Tajimi Ceramic Museum, Tajimi Ceramic Society Collection and Tokoname Ceramic Collection.

Graduated in Ceramics in 1986 from Wollongong University, Graduated in print making in 1989.
Hans is a multifaceted artist that enjoys many different media and is always exploring new ideas.

Hans draws, paints, sculpts and prints.  Lately he has been focusing on Colours and some of the everyday happenings discovering that water colours and colour Pencils can go hand in hand.

Hans uses acid free paper and frames all his work himself.
